Supporting your Child's Learning: You can use different elements of these foldout booklets, written in 14 languages, in communications with your parents and community on what they can do to support children's learning.

Ministry of Education: English for Speakers of Other Languages: the main ministry page from which you can access information about making application for ESOL funding as well as a range of ESOL associated publications and resources that support schools with new learners of English.

ESOL, Migrant and Refugee News Bulletins: Check out ESOL news updates from the Ministry of Education. These bulletins keep you informed of ESOL news, resources, significant dates and new migrant, Pasifika, and refugee initiatives.

TESSOL (Teaching English in Schools to Speakers of Other Languages) Tuition Fees Scholarships for Teachers: These scholarships to study towards a Teaching English in Schools for Speakers of Other Languages (TESSOL) qualification are offered by the Ministry of Education to teachers of new migrant, Pasifika and international students in state funded primary, intermediate and secondary schools.

Working With English Language Learners, a handbook for teacher aides and bilingual tutors is a resource to assist teacher aides, bilingual tutors, and teachers working with English language learners. Although originally developed for teacher aides and bilingual tutors, this resource contains audio and video examples and strategies that will be useful when planning and teaching a mainstream programme with ESOL students. The full resource is  available online.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): The refugee handbook for schools: This MOE resource provides guidance and information for schools on meeting the social, emotional, and educational needs of students from refugee backgrounds.

Supporting students from a refugee background: Information and resources to help your school support students from a refugee background.

New to New Zealand – Ethnic Communities in Aotearoa: A Handbook has information to help you to understand people who have come from 44 different countries to make New Zealand their home. This 5th (latest) edition of the book has been fully revised, updated and expanded to include five new countries: Bhutan, Colombia, Congo-Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): Effective provision for international Students (A Resource for Schools): This resource from the Ministry of Education assists schools in providing quality ESOL support for international students. It provides guidance for the development of ESOL policies, business plans, and also advice for programme planning and teaching practice.
