News update – English for speakers of other languages
In this update:
- Period 1 funding payment details and changes to criteria for NZ born students
- Biennial CLESOL conference planned for October, and information about CLESOL scholarships
- Deadline for TESSOL further study awards has been extended for one week – applications will now be accepted until Sunday 23 May
- Changes underway in the secondary sector, which will have an impact on the whole school system in our secondary sector update
- 'Spotlight on Schools' – highlight great support provided for students from refugee backgrounds at Hutt Valley High School and Kelston Girls' College
