Latest ESOL newsletter – September 2019
In this update:
- Period 2 (Terms 3 & 4) ESOL funding payments were made this month for 51,393 students. The next funding applications are due by 1 March, 2020.
- We now have a Dunedin-based senior advisor: refugee and migrant support to join the team of eight based around the country, and we look at ways in which they assist schools.
- Applications for TESSOL scholarships, available for all teachers with at least two years experience in a New Zealand school, are due by the end of October.
- We highlight support for culturally and linguistically diverse learners and the TALL (Team Approach to Language Learners) project at Dominion Road School.
