ESOL funding applications due Friday 1 March.

English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) funding applications for Period 1 (Terms 1 and 2) are due Friday 1 March.

Please email the status list and application form (both in excel format) to info.esol@education.govt.nz

If you require the status list from Terms 3 and 4 2018, email info.esol@education.govt.nz

If your school has not applied for ESOL funding before please visit the website or call Saniya Surani on 09 632 9382 for further information.

Students are eligible for funding if they are migrants, NZ born with at least one migrant parent, or former refugees, and they have limited proficiency in English as detailed in the English Language Learning Progressions matrices.

From 2019 all students requiring ESOL support, will get the same level of base funding, i.e. $700 per year for all primary and intermediate students, and $900 per year for all secondary students.
